3-6 months for now 4t 3t 2t are for the age it says 4T 4year ancient and so on. and theres no way you can prevent the baby growing out of it thats just what happens they keep on growing so the clothes don’t fit
I’d buy one newborn and the rest 3-6Months. Since others will probably buy her newborn sizes as well.
Since weather will start to warm soon, maybe a few spring outfits in the 3-6Months.
You should go to the baby section of the store. Toddler sizes are going to be far to large right now.
It will get lost in a toddler shirt. . you can buy them now and she will have some larger clothing lined up when she fits into them. . but I would go with a few 3-6 months and maybe a few 6-9 months. . a growing baby doesn’t always fit into the recommended age of clothing for example my neice is 2 weeks younger then my daughter (both now 13 months ancient) and my daughter still wears 6-9 month clothing whereas my neice wears 24 month clothing. . you can go larger if you’d like you never know how huge that baby will get and outgrow everything quickly. . I would probably buy larger if it were me. . but not toddler clothing yet. .
I’d get onesies in various sizes — 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 18 months, etc. Personally, I prefer onesies to t-shirts when they are in diapers because they are an extra layer to hold the diaper in place. I despise putting my baby in t-shirts because they ride up and never stay in place. The t-shirts you see marked 2T, 3T etc. won’t fit the baby for a couple of years. They are sized roughly on age — 2T fits a 2 year ancient toddler.
Nothing you buy will the baby wear for “the first few years or so” unless you wanted to get something like a blanket or crib bedding. They even outgrow toys quickly. My baby is 5 months ancient and I’ve place away a TON of clothes already that he will never wear again. They just grow so quick.
I also bought NO newborn clothes, but when I got home from the hospital we had no clothes that fit my 8 pound newborn. So we bought some on clearance. And he grew out of them within the first month. Now he’s 11 pounds and wearing 0-3 month clothes at 1 month ancient. They grow so much in the first year that they’ll always be growing out of whatever clothes you buy, so my tip is to find cute stuff on sale or secondhand. I like finding used clothes because they’re usually in pretty excellent shape due to the last kid not wearing them for very long.
2T, 3t etc should fit toddlers ages 2, 3. .
That’s the reality of the first year-they grow amazingly quick!
For safety reasons a baby’s clothing should fit properly so no, there are no sizes that you can buy that he can wear for the first few years. Once he’s 2-3 years ancient you can get away with maybe one size up. But it is unsafe for kids and especially babies to wear clothing that is too huge. Babies can get “lost” in clothing that is too huge and it can cover their faces. Toddlers with clothing too huge can get snagged, caught on things, etc which can be a hazard.
I do baby laundry so often that having just a few items in each size is enough. Try a few 3, 6, 9 months sizes. Also, if money is an issue check out your local consignment shops. Some specialize in baby clothing and it’s a fraction of the new cost and the items are usually in incredible condition.
always buy one size up. so if the child is between 0-3 months, buy 3-6. if the child is between 3-6 months, buy 6-9. forget about the 2T, 3T or 4T, wayyyyyyyy too huge!
if you go to baby r us or target question for the regestry book and it will give you a list of thinks that you need the most. and go to ross or dds were the stuff is really sheap. my daughter is 4months and i got her cloth up to a year.
Buy newborn onsies. some night gowns (these look like a long shirt with elastic at the bottom and some french undershirts(these go around the baby rather than over the head, fantastic if you have to change a sleepy baby)
I provided a link for onsie extenders. They snap into the crotch area of the onsie and are fantastic for when the baby grows longer through the torso. They let you get more usage out of onsies.
I am going to break down the size chart for you.
newborn-up to 8 pounds
0-3 months-up to 12 pounds
3-6 months-up to 15 pounds
6-9 months-up to about 18 pounds
then comes 9 to 12,12-18 months is for right around a 1 year ancient,18-24 months is like 1 1/2 to a 2 year ancient and then you get in to the toddler sizes,2t,3t,4t,and so on.
A newborn baby will most likely wear many one piece sleepers, onsies, and bibs. I hope this helps excellent luck.
just get 3-6 month clothes and even 6-9 months because anything with a T will swallow the lil guy right now lol
Well congratulations on your nephew !!
As for clothes you can get him outfits, not just onesies. . and the size would be 3-6 mos. . . which would make it spring clothes.
The sizes that you see Toddler 2 T etc are for toddlers ages 2 and up, so a size 3T for example fits a 3 yr ancient.
Well with kids, nothing fits a “few years” with babies is a couple of months, and with older children is seasonal and if. For example at the beginning of the winter I bought my 4 yr ancient son a bunch of pants. . now half of those who were fitting him fine are now small! All above the ankles! So I had to buy some more. . they lasted a couple of months!
I reckon if you want to buy them somthing he will use for a while then you need to reckon outside of just clothes, and alook for toys, gear etc. . . not sure how much stuff your sister has. . . or how much money you’re willing to spend. .
But you can give him clothes, 3-6 mos, and 6-12 if you like, and maybe a couple of blankets? That he’ll use for a long time.
OK here are options about clothes :

Really. There may be some truly very excellent information right here. You are never too embarrassed to speak your own your head when it comes to present day concerns. I from time to time have got controversial thoughts on my web-site at . You should not let the topic of used clothing mislead you. Stick to the beneficial work.
